Over $3000 Raised Using Silicone Wristbands by School Student

NEW JERSEY – Senior high school student Preethy John raises $3000 for Breast Cancer.

Heart warming stories don’t come much better than this. A Woodbridge High School student raised a ton of cash for breast cancer awareness selling Pink-A-Thon printed silicone wristbands.

When Preethy John started fundraising for breast cancer awareness who would have thought she would raise so much money. The event was held inside the high school cafeteria where several breast cancer survivors showed up to lend their support.

Everybody was extremely proud of the achievement which was made in part thanks to the fundraising ability of custom silicone wristbands.

The entire school got behind the cause to make it a success. As a result the final total far exceeded anyone’s expectations.

Pinkathon – A brief overview.

Pinkathon was started by Milind Soman to raise awareness about breast cancer and women’s fitness. Its sixth edition took place in Delhi on September 23 where over 10,000 women in pink showed up to lend their support and raise money.

Tina Clark who is the Woodbridge science research teacher provided John with plenty of guidance for her fundraising project. Consequently, the groundwork was laid to make things a success.

“I’ve done a lot of research on breast cancer through my classes, and I wanted to do a project for my senior year.” – Preethy John

This is just another example of the power and allure of custom printed wristbands. They can be used in schools for organisational purposes as much as they can for raising awareness for charities and causes.
